Looks to me like you could mount a 1" neo dome tweeter in the middle of some of those, and make a cheap coaxial.

the 12 looks to me like a real classic FR with small coil, multi-ribbed cone, whizzer. I've had Semprini 12FR which looked similar other than Semprini having larger motor.
yeah don't they...depending on construction i've wondered if it's possible to gain access to the connections to the piezo for tailoring it's response....guess i'll have to wait til more money comes my way...
