Hi all,
I’m back after a long week in hospital feeling a bit better now but in pain.
Anyway I won’t bore you guys anymore, so here we go:
Has anyone here ever use software to trace light reflections optics calculations and ever putting reflective mirror in the design?
I was checking the net today and I have found and enormous amount of software (some are very expensive) to achieve what we are trying to do with trial and error sessions. I have downloaded a couple of programs to play around with and the result have been surprising. Just check this website, it has a video demo of what the software is capable of doing, very impressive.
Here is the link: http://www.opticalres.com/
The software I was referring to is called (LightTools) apparently is the best in the field.
My project is not ever started yet, I’m having a bit of trouble with the box design but soon it will start to take shape (I hope) so far I have all the bits but the mirrors and fans, mirrors are a bit hard to come by here in OZ (joke) so I will have to keep on knocking until I get what I want.
The LCD has been dismantle for about one week now, waiting for me, oh well, I’ll do something with it tomorrow
chau

Got it, so has a few others, its not cheap! It prety much covers everything, your will need a fast comp for the ray tracing feature aswell. Software is good, but i still would rather draw mine on paper for a rough theroy and use the proggs for the advanced theroys.
Trev🙂
