I drive an '02 Subaru WRX. The vibrations make the bass unlistenable and I am tired of trying to tame it with sound dapening material. I simply do not want to waste any more wattage shaking the trunk.
I would like to know of a good multiple array setup- say 2 eights in a wherein a baffle would be secured under the metal structure beneath the rear deck and cavities (w/ grills) would be cut so no sound gets wasted in trunk.
I remember the old JL "micro sub" enclosures, a semi cylylinder with brackets. But they had rear ports. I don't mind ports but I would want it coming up into cabin and not trunk.

How about some pictures of the rear of the vehicle? Do your seats fold down? Putting subs on a rear deck lid usually involves adding additional bracing due to the shear weight of the subs. It the seats fold down you may be able to make a baffle behind the seats to hold a couple of subs or make an enclosure that will fit behind the seat blocking off the trunk.Polo..
O.K. I will try to take some pics with my phone cam. The rear deck is small. Seats do not fold down. I would prefer some sort of an enclosure made of baltic birch ply, as I do not like the extra weight MDF
boxes and amp racks add. Baltic is easier to cut, lighter and IMO stronger-which is why it is the industry standard for pro sound anbd bass cabs.
