Small cylinder speaker enclosure

Hey guys, first time poster here in need of some advice. I've made plenty of box enclosures for speakers and subwoofers before, but now I want to tackle a different shape. I want to create a small portable cylinder speaker. Though I'm already having problems trying to find a cylinder to use as an enclosure. I'd rather not try and bend plywood myself and would love to find a premade one. I've found a few website such as tapeease and aitwood who sell these but they are fairly expensive and a little too large (diameter wise) for what I am looking for. Next would be sonotube, but seeing so many mixed reviews on here I would rather not. Maybe theres another way, is it possible to line a plastic cylinder with some sort of material to make my speaker still sound good.

All in all, I'm trying to find a strong hollow cylinder around 4-5 inch in diameter that isn't too expensive and will sound great.

Thanks

Jon

I used some concrete form tubes (Cardboard) that worked rather well. These are 1' long and 8" I.D. (~.35 Ft. internal area) They sound great!

Don't know why there would be any mixed reviews for Sonotube or its competitors for DIY speakers or even heavy duty mailing tubes for smaller drivers as all are well proven with thousands built worldwide from small TLs to huge subs; but if one needs something really durable, then PVC is available up to at least 16" dia. through Lowe's or similar: Shop PVC DWV Pipe at Lowes.com!
