Small Boom Box speaker enclosure question

Attached a photo of partial completion of home made boom box.
The "inside" walls are not fastened yet, until question answered...

I will be using 4 inch coaxial drivers. These are a rubber surround.
The source will be from a small MP3 player and the amp will provide 5 to 7 watts RMS per channel. Not seeking high volume or spectacular results. Just half decent audio.

The drivers are from Parts Express, Dayton - and I did find their recommended enclosure volume, with a vent, to be 254 cubic inches.
I have decided to just have a slot vent. It will be 7 inches long and 1/8 inch wide. Not perfect I realize.

In consideration of simplicity and moderate volume use, my question is:

What, if any, damping should I consider inside the enclosures ?

I know a cubical enclosure is not optimum etc - just a playback at campfires etc with background music....

Any input is appreciated.
Thank you
