Hello !
I'm searching for a "small" 16/9 800*600 LCD with many colours..... but does it exist ?
When I say small this is about 7->12"... so not so small...
Which is the best for 450 US $ maximum ?
Could someone tell me where I can buy it on line (serious shop)
THANKS 😉

Yes $450 is a lot but better then some deals I have seen. By the way 800*600 is not a 16:9 ratio.
why don't just use a 3:4 panel of high resolution (1024*576 for PAL, 864*480 for NTSC, at least!) and scale the verticale lines down to the perfect 16:9.
Btw..800*600 is an 16 on 9,6 ratio

I would just buy a 14" or 15" LCD monitor for $200 and scale it with software or add a cardboard blackout mask for everything but the 16:9 ratio portion you wanted. *shrug*

now what was i saying?
800*600 is 4:3 all right... it was the second post that i was calculating, 800*480 and that is an 16on9(.6)resolution.
And Hanclinto, that was what i was trying to say about the scaling thing. I don't have actualy experience with lcd monitors but they can propably do the job indeed.

This place is close to my work and I have seen the panel its nice little unit. I have been thinking of buying it for my projector. I have nview panel with800X600 and am working on the projector based on that so may be my next projector..
The other thing is that the panel works with supplied 4MB video card wich can run it on a higher resolution (1024X____). I am not sure about the contrast ratio (looks great in store!).

That is a BEAUTIFUL monitor. It makes me want to resell my 5.6" LCD panel on E-Bay and go this route. 🙂

I doubt that 4MB card could handle a DVD or Divx though.
Looks tempting for a 2nd display though.
Have a couple apps and MSN messenger open on there or something.

hehe... i like the way you think... onefor aim... one for outlook... one for photoshop... oh yea.
if the card supports hardware overlay, then it should work great with a tv tuner or a hardware mpeg decorder. This seems better then most projection panels for the same amount.

No way to find out yet, I guess one of us will have to buy it and find out!
Tempting.
I might have to get one and hopefully it'll work, but if not, it would make a great 2nd monitor IF I can get it back together and working. 😉
