Got the chance of a 1210but it has the following fault
the turntable spins at 100 bpm, which means the signal from the motor to magnet needs restoring, and it needs a fuse

Anyone know if this sounds correct and is it easy enough to do?

Cheers Gerry

The only way you are going to find out is to register as a member at vinly engine and download the service manual or something similiar free of charge.
When a fuse has blown it may indicate fuse aging or it may be a major fault.
Sometimes the parts are hard to obtain.Good luck.

Most likely IC 201 (Panasonic AN6680) is toast, but bad solder joints, faulty voltage regulators or even a burnt IC 101 (AN6675) are possible, too.

Please measure voltages at testpoints TP3 (24V), TP15 (9V) and the target light connector (LAMP, the two pins on the right, should be 21V) with reference to TP4 (GND, at capacitor C1).

Please also measure the frequency at TP27 with reference to G (the two needle pins, should be 268.08kHz).

Cheers,
Sebastian.
