So I've completely stripped my beloved 512N, but I have a simple question.
Is it safe to simply leave the power cables that connected the power board to the backlight disconnected from the board? Or do I have to rig a wire or something to the board?
I just want to make sure that my panel and boards don't short or overheat or get fried because I don't have the backlight connected (because it is expecting some power usage from the light).
I really want to put the panel on my overhead, but I want to make sure that it's safe to do so first.

hi
I've been running my SyncMaster 150 without the backlight connectors plugged in for about 2 weeks now. no problems at all.
