Simple DIY VTA for Rega

Looking at my RB250, it looks like one extra thin bolt above the tonearm base could work as VTA adjustment.
(I currently use 2 2mm washers but is is more or less impossible to experiment with this based on hearing.)

Does anyone know the thread for this "VTA bolt"?

Also what material is preferred, Brass, Stainless steel, maybe something else?

Hi,

you can buy those things or diy (see my site www.krishu.de > hifi > turntable > rega)

If you lathe your own vta use brass, bronce or stainless steel, aluminium would be ok as well but must be anodized because it could jam with the brass otherwise. (my metal machining guru said)

mine is brass, works perfectly.

Cheers
Christian.
