The NPN-PNP switching has rather a lot of poles, but in fact it may be handy to put the "base" switching on a separate switch to allow use with depletion-mode devices (JFETs, vacuum tubes). S1 allows for pen-plotters; omit R1, make R2 200K permanently, make C1 0.005uFd for CRO-only use.
