Hello, I recently installed a Hexfred Diode full wave bridge into my K16 tube amp. Does anyone know why when I touched one of the metal backs that would connect to a heat sink gave me a shock?
If this is normal, what do I need to do to it to eliminate shock?
I wanted to mount all four hexfreds on a single heatsink (aluminum), but after I got shocked, I know this is not a good idea.
Does anyone that deals with solid state know what will take care of this problem.
Other than that, it sounds great.
Thanks for everyone's help in these forums. The learning experience has been wonderful.
Sincerely,
Andy

Get the datasheet and you'll see the anode or the cathode are connected to the box.
Use dielectric sheet as mica or something else.

As stated you will need some TO-220 insulators, as well as the little plastic bush that prevents the screw from touching the sides of the hole.
