Why is the regulator voltage board for the display independent of the main regulator voltage board?
The main board has its 7808 regulator's heat sink grounded to chassis, while the other -display- has -7808 also- its heat sink isolated from ground.
The main board has a ct 9v+9v full wave rectified input and the display board a 9v half rectified input. I ask the question because I need to replace the transformer and want to know my options. Thanks
