Sharp QA-1650 power supply specs?

I just got an untested QA-1650 for a steal... but it comes without an AC adapter... I was just wondering if anyone knew the power specs, so I could track one down by the time the panel gets to me.

I believe it's 12v DC, but what's the required amperage and polarity? I would guess tip-positive, but I really don't know.

Thanks!

maybe you should think about why people repost the same question over and over... i don't think it's as much laziness as inefficiency of this board....

i searched using the bulletin board search feature and found nothing. that's why i posted. when i said i found the specs later, i meant i found them somewhere else, after several pages of google'ing.

like i said, the polarity was still not mentioned anywhere in any of the articles i've found... so this post was very informative to me, even though it seems to have been *such a bother* to you guys.

YET AGAIN another " Im a lazy person " post when a person can search as the Box that you had to Check to post asked you.................Get the picture that these posts are getting old and cluttering and Plain Dumb.........

Heya VF, best to tone it down abit buddy, i find your post fairly rude to a fellow member. The better thing to do is to help them narrow down their search or give them a link to where the info is 🙂 .

Heya razorboy, all of the info is definatley in this forum, you need to run up a basic search like "psu" or "power supply" under "Video" if you cant find a specific item you are looking for.

The policy on this board is to "search and read" before making any new threads. There is a reason for this thus being the more threads we make without searching the harder it will become to find the information we need, this also affects the search engine performance and the cleaningness of the forum for other fellow members.

I searched for "QA-1650" and "power" then "ac".... nothing appropriate came up.

Anyways, I got my panel... I hooked up a plug to a molex so that I could attach it directly to an old computer PSU.

I had some problems... seems like my overhead projector decided to stop working. So I got out my multimeter and while checking out the projector I figured I'd check out the panel also...

I measured my PSU putting out only 10.5 volts... I remember hearing somewhere that PSUs sometimes don't put out the full 12v unless there is some kind of load on the 5v rail.

Has anybody else tried this out using a PSU?
