Sharp QA 1150 Question?

I recently had one of these given to me. It powers up but I can't see any image or text in the display, When they are powered off the screen turns black for a second. So I dont know if this is a source problem or what. any Ideas from anyone? should a startup screen show up nomatter what? thanks

The Sharp 1150 don't have a startup screen, It will be blank until it receives input. This panel accepts 640x480 vga input and composite. To switch the input from vga to composite without the remote make sure it turned on and hold Select and hit the down arrow Mode adjustment button.

Hey Adam,
When u just turn power on to the 1150 its on VGA out from computer as default so if u have a comp plug up to it u will see a picture. If u want video or composite in HOLD down mode select and press the up arrow to switch sources.. Hope this help...
