Hi all together,
first of all thx a lot to all of you for your ideas on this topic, Home Cinemas for everyone affordable, this is the way to go.
Last week I stumbled over my local car boot sale (Scotland) and ran along a stall selling all kinds of ex leased video stuff, the best was a 'elite vision 2000' OHP (got no data of it but it is running with an EHJ bulb (24V 250W Halogen, £ 2.99 each, about €/$ 4.5) and on top of it was a Sharp QA-1150 TFT LCD, no cables with it but the bunch together for £ 40 which comes up to about 60 /$.
I've set the thing up ,feeding it via composite Signal from my Digital Satellite Receiver and projecting an 80" Image onto a white bedsheet on the wall, no ambient light viewing of course but at night and for this amount of money this is perfect.
Here comes the question now : there was no documentation whatsoever with the panel, i can switch between composite and vga signal with the buttons, i managed as well to get the sides of the image included by altering the 'frequency' function on the display but i found no way to zoom the image, there is still lot of the picture missing on top and bottom.
Can anyone give me info about this panel (resolution, serial parameters ...) or does anyone have ideas about zooming the image without remote, eventually via serial commands, I do have the fitting serial cable, is there a control software out for this panel ?
Thx a lot in advance and keep up the good work, I will try to do my best and bring my experiences and ideas into this, the next project will be a 400W DIA projector and casio handheld tv conversion, the projector was 30£ incl. 1 replacement bulb ;-)
Chris
