Re: Philips...
Both models have CDM4.19 transports...
(CD-610 have the SAA7220, hav not opened the other yet.)
Bought them at the local sec.hand shop for ca. $ 35 each, just for their transport (working perfect).
Will "hot-rod" them & find/make a new chassi.

I'm looking for schematics for Philips DC-players:
"CD-610" and "AK-630".

Hi Cobra2,
I have the schematic of the CD630, the AK-630 is new to me!
If you meant the cd-630, you'll have to wait till I scan the schematics, then I'll send it to you!
Regards,
Audiofanatic😉
Re: Philips...
It says AK-630 on the front, cannot check further yet, as a friend has is on loan.
The CD-610 pcb (and chassi-construction) looked fairly similar to Marantz CD50...

Re: Re: Searching for Philips schematics
Hallo Audiofanatic
Did you find out if the CD630 Philips has an I2S (non oversampling) signal in?

Re: Re: Re: Searching for Philips schematics
Hi Stefano,
Not yet! I'm not sure where to look and/or what the pins are.
I'll try to scan the schematics a.s.a.p. I'm still without a scanner.
Please be patient. If I don't have one by the end of this month, I'll send the schematic's to one of the dutch guy's to scan them for you guys.
Regards,
Audiofanatic 😉

Just have a look inside...
If there is a SAA7210 and SAA7220 in there, then between them there is I2S without oversampling (that's after the 7220).
SAA7210 might be 7310 in later models, same thing.
If it is more modern stuff, then it depends on the chips.
Just mention what is in there, the schematics are then 'text book' implementation in that area.

Hi Guido,
Thanks for your help, you'r so right!
The 7310 is used and the SAA7220 DAC is the TDA 1541.
I'll post more info. if you need to know more.
Best regards,

Hi All,
I have the CD630 too. However, the player start to skip when cold start. I can hear the disc clamp spining sound when I was close to the player. Playing will be fine after it has warm up for more than 30 min. Any idea? 🙁
Audiofanatic,
May I have the schematic also when it's available?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers

Mdlover,
The minute I have them scaned, you'll have it !
I'll do my best.

Hello!
I have a CD615 and I've been looking for the schematic, too. I would be very happy if I could get the schematics for 610 and 630 from you guys.
Cheers,
Tom
