I have a solid state guitar amp that I was installing new Op Amps in.
Unfortunately without me noticing the speaker leads were disconnected and touching one another when I powered it up.
Now there is this scratchy annoying staticy noise present at times. It is VERY annoying and makes the amp about useless.
Any ideas on a fix for this???
Thanks!

Sounds like the touching leads are a decoy and the amp ain't broken. I'd suspect the op-amp rework instead, more specifically if IC sockets were used.
Just a hunch.
