Schematic symbol for ferrite bead?

This should work - pretty easy one to draw too!! 😉

i've seen them drawn several different ways. one as a piece of wire with a square superimposed like the one above (most common) sometimes the square is greyed, but also as a circle superimposed. occasionally i see one drawn as a single loop as in an inductor symbol, sometimes with a bar above it (as in a ferrite core symbol), there are a few shown below that i have seen. remember schematic symbols are usually somewhat "descriptive" of the device, so there are usually some variations on the "standard" way to draw them. there are standard symbols, and there are variations of those standard symbols. it used to be the choice of whoever was drafting the schematic (or whatever symbol templates he had on hand). these days, it's the symbol library in the software (usually). unfortunately the first one can be confused with a fuse.
