I was wondering if anyone has tried using a saucepan as a speaker encolosure. Some saucepans are made of quite thick aluminium and very rigid. Just need to fit a baffle to fit the opening. The handle could be the start for a stand, just need a base plate to be attached. While we are on this thought, use a frypan as a horn front????
Just crazy ideas. 2nd hand pans can be picked up cheap from flea markets etc.

Haven't heard of that one before (interesting idea) however I would be worried that the pan would resonate at certain frequencies (especially in the mid band). I've never done the pan thing so it's just a guess...😱
Leave the handle on, as it will help break up resonances.
Saucepans have been used for making radio sets, but there the aim is not high fidelity but good screening and reasonable rigidity.

I think the shape would be quite good as the there is no sharp corners.
Scan Speaker drives in Scanpans????

A cylinder is the worst enclosure, if the speaker is centered, as it allows equal mode reflections inside
