Start by asking Samick for a schematic or service manual.

If they deny it or send you straight to some official servie center, post closeup pictures of original transformer and its connection to the power supply, we might find some equivalent.

Is the original one dead or simply wrong voltage? (say, 100/120V and you are in Europe).

EDIT: this old post might help you:

The original is defect on the primary part. No output voltage can be measured, the resistance of the primaray 230V- parts shows an interrupted circuit
First try Jon Snell´s suggestion, you might have a thermal fuse under the varnished paper outer shell, be careful and avoid cutting scratching enamelled wire.

Also take the pictures I suggested.

You could also purchase the schematic/service manual at the old link if still available.

Thank you for your hints. I have checked in the meantime for a thermal fuse but there is no one within this transformer. The primary side is definitely broken.
Please find attached some pics of the part and from the type label of the instrument.
Do you have an idea where I can get such a transformer?

Have you removed the end caps from the transformer to see what is under there. Thermal fuses are typically buried in the winding under the tape wrapping. Do an image search for 'transformer thermal fuse' to see examples.

I'm afraid I haven't 🙁

Working from pictures is never easy either, its hard to decipher what wires are what 🙂

I think the plug with just a red and white wire is for the mains input?

For a transformer to go open circuit (where there isn't a thermal fuse) is a very rare issue... and you are absolutely 100% sure there isn't one buried in there somewhere 🙂
