I have 93 ss Aero with the premium 70 4 speaker system.
The four speakers are tiny 4'' ish speakers.
I wish to replace the speakers on the rear shelf to 6x9 speakers.
This system is said to lack bass which it does however I have read that the bass is filtered out so changing the speakers will make no difference and I need to upgrade to the premium 150 which has a second amp placed under the seat and the addition of more speakers.
I have some specs.
frequency range of both is
(premium 70) 110 - 11,000Hz +/_ 3dB
(premium 150) 40 - 11,000Hz +/_ 3dB
I am no expert but this does mean the premium 70 amplifier isnt able to deliver deep bass? Or is this measured as speaker output?
To upgrade to the premium 150 means adding an amp , fiber optics, cables , having a Saab garage marry it to the car and basically jumping through hoops left right and centre.
Any ideas?
