Sa9023 doesn't work with es9018k2m

Hi all,
I made a es9018k2m dac board and it works fine with diyinhk cm6631 board but it doesn't work with my sa9023 usb board, this one work fine with es9023/pcm5102 but when connect to es9018k2m there is no sound, i'm pretty sure i connect it the right way: 3 line LRCLK, BCK, DATA. I think i need to change some configuration setting to make it work with es9018k2m dac? Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks!

Looks like it should be possible to do: https://www.amazon.com/Assembled-SA9023-ES9018K2M-audio-24-bit/dp/B07BFPL6S9

The usual way to work on something like this would be to sketch out a schematic of everything, and also have the data sheets available to look up needed information. Those things and a scope are usually enough, although in some cases a fast logic analyzer might be needed.

Maybe we could start with the easy stuff first though. Ideally, each of the I2S lines should have its own ground line associated with it, so there would be 3-pairs of wires. They should be as short length as possible, maybe you have a close up pic showing how you did that?

The next thing to consider would be that I2S is configured the same way for SA9023 and ES9018k2m. In general there are three possibilities, Left-justify, Philips I2S, and Right-justify (sometimes different names are used for them, however). Do you know if your devices are configured both the same?
