So, I have been to-ing and fro-ing as to what amp to use for a future 3way, four driver speaker build with minidsp crossover. Thanks to all who have helped with questions on Pass f5, aca, mx50se and LJM L15.
Anyway, when I added up the costs of parts to get 8 channels I ended up with a substantial but just manageable budget. However, as luck would have it I will be picking up two Rotel RMB-1066 amps tomorrow for half the potential budget. 😀 may not provide the quality of my planned MX50SE/L12-2 combo but it will give me a start, release some more budget for the speakers and probably will be worth what I paid for them when/if I come to sell them.
These are nice class AB amps with 6 channels each running 60w/8 ohms all channels running but have switches to bridge it to provide 150w/8 ohms for three channels or any combination to make 3/4/5/6 channels. So I could do 150w for two 8ohm woofers and 60w for the mid and tweeter (4 channels total).

So, questions?
It generally looks well designed with three stereo amp boards, a power supply board, soft start board and toroidal transformer (gain pots on each channel and input link as well).
Looking at the schematic are there any obvious areas that would benefit from an upgrade? The PS “only” has 6800uf per channel (6 off c905/906/915/916/925/926) so would upgrading these to 10-15000uf help and would this need a bigger transformer (I believe the stock one is 500VA). Any other obvious areas? (Assume all is in working order to start with).
Thanks in advance for comments/ideas.
