Rotel RCD 951 left channel dead

My ancient Rotel RCD 951 left channel stopped working, just died in the middle of the song - silence. I/V converter & output buffer (2604) is not an issue, tested OK. It seems that signal from PCM69AP is not good, but I have no experience with DA converters... Buffer part of the 2604 on all inputs (pins 5 & 6) and output (7) measures ~14VDC. Pin 3 on the I/V part measures ~3.4V but pin 2 (-in) 2.6VDC, only. Pin 1, output of the 2604 I/V converter ~14.5VDC.
Power supply is OK there is around +/- 15VDC on pins 8 & 4.

Any ideas are welcome.

It is not really uncommon for pcm69 chips to fail, and it does sound like it's the case here.

Whilst we are at it... Any other DA converters that could replace PCM69 without the need to adjust surrounding circuits ?
