Rotel RB 1070 Capacitor Replacement

Has anyone replaced the filter caps on this amp. I am getting a soft pop on shutdown and think that it might be the filter caps going. I had into a shop to check out and he said that everything was dandy but not happy about pop which was never there before. Charged me $85 to tell me this. I understand that the caps are hard to source and maybe he just couldn't find some that were that diameter and height - I had suggested Mundorf as a replacment as the originals might be hard to get. Rotel was no help with the matter. I've recapped speakers crossovers. Have a variable soldering iron. Is it even worth doing and does anyone have experience with this amp? Welcome suggestions.

These rotel models never need a cap replacement , you're more likely to have problems with conductive (and corrosive) black glue that can destroy component legs, last rotel I did had a rotted zener in the PSU, but it also needed the rock hard black glue cleaning up around it. Stopped it in it's tracks when -15v was lost as a result.

Don't waste your money replacing reservoir caps on this model, they will last for decades and still not show any signs of fatigue.
Check the bias and signs of the dreaded black glue anywhere (and sort that) , then close it up is my advice. The black glue residue is often mistaken for cap leakage by novices , it's definitely not cap leakage..

It's normal for the design of the amplifier. There is no output muting relay.
There is howner a small signal input muting relay, I guess it's worth replacing that just to eliminate tarnished contacts.

Thanks for the replies. I had a pair of 565s that develope dc offset so I'm a bit paranoid about that problem. Signal input relay might be possible as I recently sent in my preamp for a recap and using an old Hafler DH 101 pre that has been recapped - the gain never goes down to 0 on it though it is silent if no input. Thanks all.
