Rosco vs. Tiffen

After crawling these forums for quite a while, I am now working on a number of upgrades to my projector setup. One of my chief concerns with the current design is heat. The system is cooled by four 120mm computer fans, undervolted to reduce the noise. Even with the fans running slow, the system is far from quiet, and a great deal of IR hits the lenses and the LCD. It doesn't kill them, but it can't possibly be good for their lifespan.

A quick search reveals that our resident genius recommends using a hot mirror to deflect the IR away from more sensitive components.
Guy Grotke was even so kind as to point us to a supplier: http://www.bhphotovideo.com

Visiting their site, I find two brands of hot mirror available, Tiffen and Rosco. The Tiffens are in stock, the Roscos can be ordered. After waiting through a third week for my UHI-S400DD from Atlanta Light Bulbs, I'm somewhat reluctant to buy a not-in-stock item from yet another retailer. So those Tiffen mirrors are starting to look pretty good.

The only problem, I have no information on the Tiffen mirrors, against plenty of glowing recommendations for the Rosco mirrors. I was hoping someone here might be able to offer an opinion. Would I be wasting my time with a Tiffen? Are they practically identical? Should I just wait through a backorder and play it safe?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
