A 33 ohm gate resistor would work with a 3205.
Were the original PS FETs 3205s or had they been replaced previously?

not sure when i opened the amp up there were 3205's in the supply but they were blown. I thought maybe they might have used irfz44's orginally but tryed the 44's for the fets and amp drew current like crazy
Either the PNP driver transistors or the gate resistors are likely defective if the current draw isn't due to a fault in the audio section of the amp.
The Z44s or the 3205s should work with no problems in this amp.

2A = MMBT3906 (MMBTA56 makes a good sub if you have it)
1A = MMBT3904 (MMBTA06 makes a good sub if you have it)

can anyone help me I have a rockford fosgate 301s amp and 2 audiobahn 12" subs I have not had hooked up for probably 3 years all worked fine when i took out of vehicle now trying to install in 2005 durango using factory radio purchased a line out converter when everything is wired up my light comes on on the amp but no sound out of subs wired up bridged as before putting subs in series checked resistance on both subs (4ohms each) had 8 ohms wired up just at a loss its been a while since i have played with any car audio
If you disconnect the RCAs from the amp, turn the amp on and then plug the RCAs in, does it make ANY sound from the speakers?
For testing, it would be better if you connected one speaker per channel, instead of having them bridged.
