Without taking the servo stuff into account:

The cavity resonance of the ripole is at a lower frequency, which means you cannot cross over at a high frequency. On the other hand, the ripole is more compact. The air cavity of the ripole increases cone mass which can be a good or bad thing.


Servo stuff reduces harmonic distortion if properly implemented.
