Ribbon foil

Anyone know where to get al foil 6-7 microns thick in quantities not by the truckload? I have a bunch of raw stock here like titanium aircraft al all sorts of stainless and was hoping the local scrap yard or jeweler would be able to smelt it into something to play with but no love on the pass line. Any help or good sources?

As backing ? Like mylar ? If so most rc shops that sel planes have it by the meter in several thicknesses , freeflight.co.uk for instance

I received my foil 🙂 it's so cool 🙂 i dont even have a magnet motor for a ribbon but i had to try 🙂

Hell yea give it a shot. You know if they have 99% pure AL? I have a friend who can make some solid ribbons (supposedly) but only way we can find that in 6-7 microns thick is buying way more then we ever need. How are you planning the motor?
