RGB disappeared

Hi all, I was working on connecting my Mac Mini to a Hami H8006 monitor yesterday. Noticed the native resolution is 640x800 or somethinglike that. First can I change the resolution somehow? Second after going through different modes (TV/ S-Video/ and Cvbs) the RGB mode just disappeared! What did I do wrong?

I can provide more info on anyone's request!

Thanks!

Richard

Thanks for the reply so quickly BUT, I cannot change the display mode on the Mac Mini. Strangly it tries to see the resolution in an automatic sense and doesn't go that low. Hard to believe that Apple didn't account for this.

Also I think something in the monitor blew, cause I use to gt four itmes coming up....TV CVBS (I don't know what that is) S-VIDEO and RGB, and I am not getting the RGB anymor, and that is where the Mac was trying to come in at. I could get the APPLE LOGO and then it would switch to another resolution from there. NOW I get nothing! Does anyone have or know anyhting about the HAMI H8006 monitor? Thanks again!

Richard

Hi Richard,

My iBook and G4 both have 640x480 and 800x600 as allowed resolutions, running Tiger 10.4.2, so that's strange. Maybe Planet10 will have an idea....

When things go strange, like your loss of RGB, I often find that removing the power completely for 10 minutes or so can work wonders....

Oh well just forget it. I cannot get it to work and I am gonna send it back for my money back anyhow. BUT I have to send it to China! I think I might go for the H8001 anyway, it's resolution to start with is 800x600 which will probably fit the guidelines of the Mac Mini.

Thanks to all for your help!

Richard
