hi, i got a amp that wont start.when put power to it and remote it lid the diod, but so sound exept all blinks and bumps, like the amp go on and off,so i guess the protection goes in to stop amp from running.where to start ? no shorted outputs found.
found a problem. r359 680 ohms was 7,2 k !!!! replaced and now it plays.but get hot fast. after one somg channel not repaired 41 degre celcius.and the repaierd side 45 degres celcius..can someone give me advice how to adjust the amp and pionts with voltage.thanks
Does it overheat with the bias pots set fully CCW?
I set the bias to the point where the current draw from the 12v PS just starts to increase.
If you have a Flash-capable browser:

Yes.
There are a lot of options if you want to use Flash. Ruffle is the easiest, but not perfect. Other options are given here:

thanks.i seen this before, when flash were still supported.so i put an ampmeter inline with power, turn amp on with bias ccw and turn to it,s just start to rise.correct?
I would suggest against putting your meter in series with the amp. Instead, insert a low value resistor and measure the voltage across the resistor.
I'm assuming that you have no amp meter on your 12v power supply.

Sometimes, the bias circuit is dodgy and the current can go very high very quickly. Unfused meters may be damaged. The fuses for other meters can be expensive.
the amp take about 1.45-1.50A in idle @12,2 volt.no other connections than batt rem and ground.is this normal?
i assume that if i put bias full ccw and lets say i have 0.5A current on the meter and i adjust left channel bias to point amp take 0.6A i adjust right channel bias to 0.7A .in other words the rise of current will be idle A+ left biasA+right bias A.course the A or less(proberly) will increase for every channel biased.! right or wrong?
this is my temporary test equpment.speakers are jbl,and headunit rockford.this headunit i bought on a auction site and is was defective then i got it.i repaired myself, can i do a post like a guide how i did ,to give some back for all help and intresting things on this board.
