I have just got my hands on a second hand AOC LM720A Monitor.
As far as I'm aware the only thing it needs is a new 15-pin D-sub Male connector- as the original connector has been removed. Although it doesn't have a power supply with it I'm sure I can run it on one of my universal power supplies - I'd like to know if this isn't the case.
I found this article : http://www.epanorama.net/documents/pc/svga_wiring.html but it is over 2 years old and applies to a CRT monitor.
I also have the manual - which can be found online here : http://www.aoc-europe.com/monitors_lm720.html and that gives identification of which pins on the 15-pin D-sub are connected to... but doesn't give a wiring diagram.
I have 3 questions.
1: Is it an easy thing to do - I see in the picture available at http://www.dukgamers.com/reviews/720a/720a_2.shtml that there appears to be a fuse behind the plug, is this correct - and if so does anyone know where I can get one?
2: Is there any harm in doing this - e.g. if I were to wire up the vga plug correctly & try it is there anything that could cause harm to my videocard?
3: Does the information in the above wiring article apply to LCD monitors as well?
Also if anyone knows where I can find a wiring diagram for this monitor that would be fantastic.
Thanks in advance

The only thing I can recommend here is to contact AOC, tell them of your problem and ask for a wiring diagram.
