Hi Fellas,
I am a returning DIY audio member and went by the name "maybeim". Since I have moved in the last 5 years and changed email addresses, I had to come up with a new moniker.
The DIY bug is starting to bite again and I hope to accomplish building a turntable. I am a little better prepared this time, having purchased a Bridgeport Knee Mill and a 12X36 lathe with lots of tooling to go with these tools.
I am a Vacuum Tube nut and like the mellow sound and rarity of NOS tubes. Tubes are like fine wine, once installed (opened) there is no recharging the bottle.
I enjoyed the help and encouragement I received on my DIY projects and look forward to that kindred spirit once again.
I am the big wood and cooper monoblocks in the photo below. This was taken at a VSAC 2003 located in Washington State
Here are some links to past threads on DIY that show this project.

Paul,
Pure eye candy, both the workshop and the finished products.
A warm welcome back. Shall we merge your old account?

Welcome back to the fray Paul. I am surprised your new name was still available. It seems like such a natural for someone to have chosen.
