Hey, thought I'd post my results with my stripped IBM T56A LCD and Elmo HP4KDX projector. I'm quite happy with the results, the LCD is actually bigger than the OHP fresenel, so in turn, these images on my wall could be alot bigger but I just scale them using my ATI all-in-wonder card.
I've never taken a monitor apart (Hell I can barily even solder!) this LCD was fairly easy to take apart, as long as your careful!
My next thing is to build a small enlocsure, brighter light source, yadda yadda yadda.....but for now I think im good.
Projected wide screen is just a hair under 70". I can measure the diagnoal length cause the screen is just too large. But the distance from the left wall to the door is about 12 feet. The screen uses all of this horizontally except about 6-7 inches on either side.
Gran Turismo 2 is just a little bit sweeter now, especially with lifesize mustangs.
And as usual, the pics do not give the projection any kind of justice 🙂
If you have any questions, or wanna see the other pics ,you can reach me at houdini84@verizon.net!

Thank you .
I appreciate you taking time to post that, not so sound like an egotistical *** or anything hehe.
But thanks again.

lol wow, its been a while since I've been back to this site - that was like a year ago I put this on.
The response time is 45ms
I haven't used the projector like at all since I built it - I settled on just buying the real deal. My next goal is to sell my rig lol
Good luck with yours - it really is pretty cool when you have it all setup right - send me the results!!
