Restoring Vintage AVID Spekers

I am trying to restore a couple of old speakers that I got from a my good friend during his last move. See the picture attached.
They were in the basement, and their condition is not fantastic, but I believe it can be done. In fact construction looks very solid (about one inch MDF !) and only the woofers are damaged and need to be re-coned. But I would like to have some infos on their caracteristics (W RMS ?) , if anybody had them, how they sounded, etc. At the moment the only thing that I can desume from the warranty documents ( that I found for both !) is that thy were production ckecked in the 1980. Model is 130. Woofers are 8" ones and Mid-ranges are separately boxed inside a sealed carboard cylinder. For what I collected they should come from yhe US east coast, so maybe some User from over thre knows more? At worst they will do as test speakers for my repair lab, i guess.
Thanks in advance

A friend of mine has a similar popular model , but 2-way . The woofer runs without any filter ,and a little cap for HP.
You can try to remove the mid driver and guess if they used the same drivers as in the 2-way model .
Those could be nice upside down (with the tw in place of the mid )...thinking of a new tw replacement ...
🙂

Mission accomplished!

No need to destroy them.
Here they are, woofers rebuilt, contact cleaned, Boxes and plastic properly treated.
Aren't they beautiful?
BTW sound test is to be done as soon I get a proper power amp ready...
Inquiry for specs still valid , thanks

Nice example of how the basket covers may be a part of the design ( even acoustic...)
Since you are the owner and you have the access to them ,who could better judge and evaluate the limits ...er..no ..the specs of them ?
You don't need to destroy them 🙂
How is the crossover made ? I just wanted to know that .
Ciao

Xover is a huge board (about 4" x 8") attached to the back panrl just over the woofer, with plenty of big colis and capacitors. I guess 2 x 2nd order filters or something like that.
And yes, the mounting of the drivers is nice and should have something to do with sound (they have a label with "Minimum diffraction loudspeaker" and one with "unboxed sound")
About specs, I just curious and do not want to bring them over their limits.
As I said they were retreived from a basement, i do not know much about them.

If they were made two years later ,they would have a sticker with 'Digital Ready' 🙂 on it
Well ,good find !! i have some drivers around that need refoaming ,but a good ol' style 3-ways working is still a nice piece . Of corse nowadays you'd find a 1000 W loudspeaker in that volume ,still needing a sub , so why worry ? I guess no more than 50 W should pilot them ....
