Replacing CDM12.1 with VAM1202

Hi all,

I'm about to replace an almost dead laser pickup (CDM 12.1) with a new VAM1202. Do I have to regulate the laser diode power on the new module, or is this done at the time of manufacture?

Yes, the power was adjusted in factory.
