Hi folks, new here. I'm building a guitar pedal based on the channel strip of an old tape recorder. The circuit used NJM2068SD and NJM4565L op amps, but they don't seem to be in production anymore, so I'm looking for good alternatives that are widely available.
I know the NJM2068 is available. The original NJM2068SD was SIP-9, but from my understanding, the 9th pin was an extra V+ and isn't used in the circuit. Can the current NJM2068 replace it? Pin configuration is different, kinda. The current NJM2068 doesn't have the extra V+ on Pin 1, the rest is the same but moved up a pin.
For the 4565, the LM4562 seems like it might be a good option. Am I wrong?
Thanks for your help!

I bought 10 njm4565sd 2019 but it appears digikey will only sell 2000 unit rolls of it now. Same with NJM4565l which will be available in 2000 unit rolls until 9/24. Since mine were hauled to the steel scrapyard by a burglar, this obsoletes my PV8 mixer. He got $280 a ton for them. Also On semi transistors, about 400 of them.
LM4562 is a bit faster and requires more detail to preventing oscillation. Perhaps 4 extra ceramic caps per IC.

I looked at what Mouser was stocking for those parts. I see those parts are available in a dip-8 so why not use those packages or the smt versions instead of the sip-8?
I see no differences in performance vs the package that they come in.
Sip-9 is long obsolete. Sip-8 is also a legacy package as well. Most mfgs use smt packages for automated assembly these days. I have designed both a sip-8 and sip-9 to smt adapter to deal with this, they have decoupling caps as well on them.

Well, DigiKey has the NJM2068 listed as "Not Recommended for New Design", which tells me it will be obsolete soon. The NJM4565 isn't widely available. DigiKey has no stock, and Mouser has a low quantity.
