One of the transformers in my Wadia 27ix has a faulty primary winding and blows fuses as soon as connected. The part is a Plitron 5426-B1-02, 4 x 24V and 48VA. I have e-mailed Wadia and they no longer supply the part, Plitron did not reply. I also have tried to register with Plitron Direct through my electronics design and build firm and again no reply.
Any ideas where I can get hold of one of these or an equivalent?
Many thanks.

4 x 24V will be a custom made transformer. Do you have the space for 2 x 2 x 24V ? If not you could look at a custom made unit.
If you Google "Custom Made Transformers" or simply look for an ODD transformer, you will stumble upon many companies that make custom units.

Katieanddad, thank you for your reply.
The transformer sits in its own 'compartment' with internal dimensions 110 x 110 x 52 mm, I couldn't find two separate 2 x 24V toroids that would fit.
What should I expect to pay for a custom unit?
Many thanks.

100VA, I would guess at about the £80 mark. I'm trying to find the guy that I had in mind. He "might" even be able to use your core to keep things exactly the same size. Unlikely though if he is ISO9002 registered.
I knew if I looked long enough I'd find them. These guys will help you.

I had a 600VA 48-0-48V Custom made for just under £200.
