I am trying to determine a direction to go right now. Receiver will turn red LED on fronr panel when plugged in but that is it. In examining the front end CPU supply board, there are relays that must latch to power up the rest of the supply and the power transformer. I manually latched one for test and unit did power up. I am now confused as to why I am not getting voltage back to the relay. The way it is wired is the PSU provides a master 6V directly toe the processor and the processor will send back a 6V on another pin for turn on of the relay. I was able to jump over 6V power to the relay pin and verify operation so either the voltages are not making the processor happy, or I i have something else going on.
When running, it appears unit will work but did shut back down in protect mode. I found a shorted filter cap near the center channel output. Have not tested yet but could it be possible that the shorted cap was being sensed before power up and would not send the "go" signal? All the issues I hear are that they will try and then go into protect.
My master voltage is 5.69V, voltage protect pin is 5.90V, and power down pin is 5.96V. I am not sure if the master is too low, if the protect voltage should not be present, or what. I do have schematics but receivers are pretty heavy and I am no master at this.
A Denon specialist would be GREAT!
