Renovating a Coral Bx-2000 XO?

Hi There

Via fleaBay, I have come into possession of a pair of Coral BX-2000's.
(5-speaker, 3-way).
The cabinets are in first class condition, and the drivers all seem good also.
Problem is: the sound seems to lack "sizzle". All the drivers appear to be making sound.
Given the age of the speakers, I suspect the XO components may have wandered off tolerance.
There are 3 caps, all "Unicon" NP: 2, 16 and 47 mfd
There are 4 resistors, all the same type:
3k, 4A; and
5k, 15k and 15k - all 3A
(I'm ruling out the two inductors as culprits.)

Is it possible to say which components are the likely offenders? (caps or resistors?)
Are (/were) the Unicon caps pictured regarded as high quality? ie Can someone suggest a suitable brand of modern replacement? (Let's say good quality, but not stupidly expensive, ok?)

Thanks

Doug

Thanks Pete.
Yes, my fall-back position was to do as you suggest, but I was wondering whether anyone was of the opinion that a little more money may bring a discernible improvement. Can I assume you're skeptical of same?

A slight technical difficulty ...

OK so I have recapped the XO's. (Courtesy of Jaycar, as advised)

Still not much treble, so I come to the sad conclusion that the previous owner (or one of them, anyway) must have blown the tweeters ... All 4 of them!

(oh bugger!)

The tweeters are 2H-20A's. 16 ohm and sealed back cones.

Would anyone like to venture an opinion as to whether is is possible to repair such drivers?

Cheers

Doug
