I recently received an old Eurorack module from a friend, but unfortunately, the VCA (SSM2146) was fried due to a mishap on his part.
I'm keen on giving it a second chance at life. Are there any suitable "plug and play" replacements available? I've heard about the SSI2164, but it seems that they aren't a perfect match (different impedance). I've also heard that if I opt for the SSI2164, I might need to adjust the resistor values. I'm a beginner when it comes to VCAs, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Here are the datasheets for both VCAs:
SSM2146 Datasheet: link
SSI2164 Datasheet: link
Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi There:
Did you manage to find a genuine SSM2164? I need one too for my Rane MX22.

A direct replacement is the Coolaudio V2164. It is a 100% clone, which should be available somewhere now.
