Has anyone tried removing the film on an LCD? I noticed in the CRT configuration I am having trouble with the polarization and reflectivity of the film on the front of the lcd. (Using it flipped and upside down) I had an old laptop lcd laying around and I removed the film and wow what a difference in the amount of light transmission as well as the light itself distriburting more evenly across the whole lcd where it has less light from the center out.
I did notice that there is a pressure sensitive type adhesive adhereing the two pieces.
I just wanted to see if anyone has tried this and what their results were and method for removing the film and adhesive residue before I attempt it on a working lcd.
