I use the same speakers for my audio only amp (SS) as my AVR. Currently I have a switch box with a toggle but I'd like to automate the process. Is there anything special I should look for in the relay? I was looking at this one: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetai...EpiMZZMtGt%2Bn33CgIP%2BP5V16HHn4r5VmHELF4t9k= I would wire it so the normally closed position would connect the audio amp and only when the AVR was on would it switch to its inputs.
Any better options out there?

K10P-11D15-12 Datasheet (PDF)
Min. recommended contact load
Ag contacts 100mA, 12VDC
AgCdO and AgSnInO contacts 300mA, 12VDC
Initial contact resistance 100mΩ
I wondering it is a good choice for speaker level switching. Sometimes you might need to turn up the volume to let audio signal pass-thru the relay contacts.
I think the better option is using a relay designed specifically for switching speaker level signal, like the Amplimo LRZ bifurcated contact relay, it contains a tungsten leading contact which can switch 100A (at 50V) loudspeaker current. After closing, this contact is bridged by a gold plated silver contact, giving negligible contact resistance even at small currents.

Maybe the best option is MOSFET SS relay:

Excellent information. Those relays look good, I wish they were double throw. I’ll search for ones used in delayed on speaker protection.
