Rega Arm Drawing and Position Details Required

I'm in the process of designing a turntable that will use a Rega tone arm (RB250). Does anyone have a CAD drawing they could send me of such an arm - Auto Cad 2000 or .dxf format preferably.

Also I know the distance from the spindle to the centre of the arm 's mount is 222mm but what is the ideal angular position? Visual it appears to be 45 degrees clockwise from the top (ie rear) but is this correct?

Thanks for any help given,

Karl 🙂

Karl it makes no difference where the arm sits, 222mm is 222mm regardless, you just locate it according to how wide/square/rectangular you want to make the plinth.

you'll find a full set of measurements on vinyl engine, or at least the arm length, the counterweight stub is about 30mm long and exits from a boss roughly 12mm from the bearing centre.

ArcProtractor for Rega RB-250, "WARNING" First of all, you must be absolutely sure to have the same mounting distance on your turntable than on the ArcProtractor.
MAXIMUM error on this dimension must be within +/-0.5mm. Otherwise, it is useless trying to align.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Hi,

I´m doing the same as Karl at the moment, but with an Rega300B.
So if anyony has a CAD drawing or at least a good pic I could import to CorelDraw I´d be happy to receive a mail.

Thanks
Calvin

The Rega ArcProtractor is to use in all Rega Tonearms from RB-250 till RB-1000, please send me a pm with your e-mail will receive both ArcProtractors in zip format.

Dave, stuff some

Mark Audios into that thing. I'm sure you will find it much easier and your buddy will end up with a great set of speakers.

I have an old "LS" style pair of speakers...Wharfedale Denton ll. Stuffed the Merrill DCA5.5 s into it, sounds great! Looks like hell but nice to listen to. Similar to the Fritz speakers 11 litre enclosure. When I actually get to some further projects, I'll finish these up nicely and take a few photos if any are interested.

One of the first high-end systems I listened to was a set of Proac Tablettes with a Velodyne sub. This was 20 or so years ago and it is still memorable.

oops, back to an RB300 drawing...I managed to hack this together today.
