Hello all i am new here.... Sorry for anything i say that is off topic or not in the proper fourm...

I have searched the web looking for a record cleaning machine to build with a shop vac. I have read about some but have not really seen any percise plans or do's & Don'ts. Does anyone know of such plans, using a shop vac?

Thanks for any help in advance...

Rob..

Hey thanks..

Looks good except i am not to sure i want to use copper as opposed to , say a 1 " pvc, covered in velvet.

Also is it not possible for the record to bend upward towards teh suction, once turned on?

I guess with the slit, the suction is not as forcefull as just the hole a the bottom of the regular vacuum hose

Thanks allot...

Rob...

Hi Rob,
I have put the design to Steven Rochlin's Enjoy the music.

I'd use copper as PVC is too flexible especially when you make
a small slit.

The record is bent a little bit, but that does not matter.
Don't be afraid. If you doubt try a bad record first.
Make sure that the record comes only in contact with the
velvet not with the copper.

Have fun,
Frank
