Recommended transistors for audio applications (low noise,....)

hallo, i am from germany, sorry for my bad english.

i would ask, which transistors are for audio applications recommend?

I use for my output stage 2SA1943 and 2SC5200, but the data sheets are very short and has only few contents.
Which property is important for the sound quality?

My prefered design is an high voltage opamp to direkt drive the output stage, to minimized furter transistors in the soundpath.

Can someone write a few of recommended transistor pairs for the driver and output stage?

Those seem quite good output transistors. What do you want them to do ?

Regarding drivers and 'low noise' transistors ( for the input stage I guess ) there is a lot of information on this forum. Just use the "search" button and you will find several threads with what people prefer to use. The type number you use depends on what you want to do ( particularly voltage ratings apart from other things).
There are many options and I encourage you to read through some of the threads dealing with this.
Cheers.

Some modern drivers here,

The ISC transistors are poor quality - there are a few threads about this. They are also responsible for cheap, unreliable clones of Sanken power transistors.

Fairchild do a whole suite of power transistors suitable for amplifiers - a good "one stop shop" especially as you can buy from them directly.

KSC1845/KSA992 - Small signal for input stages etc
KSA1381/KSC3503 - TO-126 Fast linear transistors ideal for VAS stages
KSC2690/KSA1220 - TO-126 Small driver transistors for driving 1 or 2 pairs of outputs
FJP5200/FJP1943 - TO-220 driver transistors
FJA4313/FJA4213 - TO-3P package 130 watt output transistors
FJL4315/FJL4215 - TO-264 package 150 watt output transistors, clones of 2SC5200/2SA1943

Onsemi also have good driver and output transistors - look in the "Audio Transistors" category of their site.

Sanyo also have some good ones, 2SA1209/2SC2911 particularly as VAS parts.

thanks to all, for the big comparison lists.

I use the ISC's at moment only with +-17 V, i will test it with more Voltage.

Is the mechanical or the sound quality poor?
Is die size matters? Because the orig. Sanken 2SA1943 and 2SC5200 are meanwhile over 20 jears old and the needing die size will be shrink.

The die size and internal construction are poor compared to the original Sankens.
There is a thread here about them somewhere.

Sanken did not make 2SA1943/2SC5200 - these are Toshiba. Also most likely poorly copied by this chinese manufacturer (where most Fakes are made!)

Stick to the Onsemi or Fairchild devices.
