Recommend an amp for electrostatic speakers 1.2 Ohms

Hello folks,

Does anybody have an amp (module) recommendation for driving the panel section of a hybrid electrostatic speaker? It has the high-pass circuitry already built in, so that means the amp does not drive the transformer directly. There is a (small) series resistor and DC blocking capacitor in the way. The impedance is higher at lower frequencies and only drops to 1.2 Ohms at 20 kHz. Preferably I would like a unit that can do 100W or more into 4 ohms.

Not a cheap solution:
hoellstern 12.4 can go down to 1 Ohm per channel

they use PFC PSU and can therefore deal with wide input range.

Hypex amps handle 1 ohm impedances without trouble. The NCore is the top one, but the cheaper UcD modules can also handle 1 ohm loads.

Both of these should have you covered comfortably in the power department and should sound great as well. Some DIY required though, mostly just connecting stuff together (PSUs, cables and such are also available from them).

Thanks. The Hypex seems to way to go. I could not get any info on whether any of the other class D boards, such as from hifimediy, connexelectronic, or classdaudio would do 1 ohm. Some could do 2 ohm.
