Recc. cheap streamer w/ optical out?

Can anyone recommend me a cheap media streamer? My only requirements are (1) must be dead silent (most are); (2) must have optical (TOSLINK) outs for audio. Primary use of the box will be listening to audio (MP3). Preferred: stream from a network drive, or connect via USB hard drive. I know some of the ROKU models fit, but willing to consider other brands. Thanks.

I think you're on the right track with a used older model Roku, so check Craigslist.

Thanks. I jumped on a cheap (?) Western Digital box (~$55) on Ebay that I think will work. I am desperately working on two term papers due in the coming week, so I must grudgingly reduce my amount of goofing off such as here 🙂
