Recap of Luxman M02 power amp

Hello

I have ordered a recap kit for my Luxman M02 poweamp, because I think it will be good.

When I mesure the the caps I took out (470uF - 100V) both the Farad and ESR are perfect, even they are 40 yrs old. Will it still be a good idea to replace the caps even thet mesure perfect?

Old caps very often are OK. The ones that deteriorate tend to be those that are near parts that run hot.

You will have to see what the quality of the caps in the kit are like, what brand/s and so on.
