What would need to be changed in the projector to utilize it in a rear-projection system. We would like to use 4 projectors behind the screen to offer the resolution needed. How can we minimize the throw distance required?
if you already have the projectors built - have them behind the rear projection screen, pointing upwards onto a large front surface mirror, at 45 degrees, so it will reflect back onto the screen. That will flip the image for rear projection, and shorten the distance from the screen. If you havent built the projectors yet, flip the lcds inside the projectors horizontally, and get projection lenses with shorter effective focal lenghts.
